Foundation Holds Annual Annual General Meeting on April 27 2011

On April 27th of 2011 the Lac du Bonnet & District Charitable Foundation held its Annual General Meeting for 2010. Several reports were given. Out going President, Cliff Zarecki noted that our total funds were now nearly $200,000 and several significant donation were received in the past year.

He noted that in 2010 the Foundation was able to give out the first grants to the community. About $600 was granted to the Community Centre to assist with upgrades to the bowling lanes and similar amount was granted to the Library for painting upgrades. It was anticipated that there will be considerably more funds to give back to the community as our funds have grown considerably.

Mr. Zarecki also noted that we have at least one corporate partner, Acsion Industries has challenge grant out for its employees. Acsion Industries will match up to $25,000 over the next five years all donations made by its employees to the Foundation. See story on previous post dated April 25, 2011.
