Would you like it if every two dollars you contributed for the wellbeing of your community counted as three? From now until mid-September 2016 this can be the case thanks to the Thomas Sill Foundation.
The Thomas Sill Foundation is a philanthropy operating throughout Manitoba in support of our province’s communities. Besides responding to communities’ immediate-wellbeing needs such as poverty, mental health and family safety, it also supports community projects in the arts, heritage, health, education and the environment. One of its most prominent on-going activities is support of the Lake Winnipeg Project. To find out more about the work of the Thomas Sill Foundation view their webpage at thomassillfoundation.com.
Now the Thomas Sill Foundation is partnering with the Winnipeg Foundation to support the building of community foundations throughout Manitoba. From now until September of 2016 Thomas Sill will match an extra dollar for every two dollars donated, up to a maximum of $50,000, in donations, to community foundations who maintain their endowment with the Winnipeg Foundation. The Lac du Bonnet & District Charitable Foundation, a Community Foundations of Canada member and Canada Revenue Agency registered charity has its endowment managed by the Winnipeg Foundation and therefore qualifies for this support.
The Board of the Lac du Bonnet & District Charitable Foundation urges you to take advantage of this opportunity to leverage your giving in the community. Help us support worthy projects, in our community, like the Wildlife Association’s Blueberry Ponds Development and the Lion’s Accessible Play Park. It’s easy to donate by going to lacdubonnetfoundation.ca and clicking on “Donate Now” under the Endow Manitoba logo. Help us make our community more livable, …today, …tomorrow and …forever.
