I wanted to provide this small story about the impact of the craft event the Foundation funded:
“An individual who attended wasn’t quite ready to formally reach out for services but felt comfortable enough to join us for crafts. While painting flowerpots together, they were able to sit with a counsellor, connect in an authentic, natural way, and begin building a connection for ongoing support. This moment really highlighted the impact of reducing barriers to support, moving away from strictly clinical entry points like phone calls or emails, and instead meeting people where they are, in community, through genuine human connection.”
