Scholarship and Bursaries


The Lac du Bonnet Foundation currently holds four Scholarships/Bursaries which are awarded each year to students from the Lac du Bonnet area pursuing post-secondary education in accordance to specific criteria.

Deadline for applications is May 31st.

BRITTANY BUNG MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Brittany Bung

Brittany Bung was a graduate of Lac Du Bonnet Senior School. Following graduation, she was accepted into the Culinary Arts program at Red River College Polytechnic. She was excited to attend college, especially in a field for which she had shown a real passion. Her kind-hearted nature and giving spirit touched everyone she knew.

The Scholarship, in her memory, will support an annual scholarship to a graduate of Lac du Bonnet Senior School, who displays a passion for continued education, for full time study at an accredited Canadian Post Secondary Institution.

CHUCK REYNOLDS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Lac du Bonnet Senior School graduates accepted by an accredited post-secondary institution are eligible to apply for this monetary award. This scholarship is also open to previous graduates who have not yet entered post secondary education. Candidates with demonstrated academic excellence or achievements in athletics, the arts, trades, the environment, or social justice are encouraged to submit a Letter of Intent and present before the CRMS committee.

Russ Reid Memorial Bursary

Lac du Bonnet Senior School Students that are actively involved in sports, school, and exhibit positive attitudes that are pursuing further studies at an accredited Canadian University or College can apply for a $1,000 bursary.

WINNIPEG RIVER BURSARY

Students from the Lac du Bonnet area enrolled in continuing education where the field of study will have possible relevance or benefit to the Lac du Bonnet Region are eligible for this monetary grant. Each year, bursaries of up to one thousand dollars ($1000) will be provided to a deserving student based on relevance, need, and the availability of funds.
