Dear generous friends of the Lac du Bonnet Foundation,
It is with tremendous gratitude I write this final report to you for the inspiring grant the Lac du Bonnet Foundation made to fund the customized Trailmate Desoto Classic Bike for Raenon. Your generous commitment to your community is amazing.
On Thursday, August 25, 2022, the bike was presented to Raenon at his home. It was a special gathering with Raenon, his Aunt Mary Ann Bruneau, Janice Leroux and Dick Campbell from your Foundation, Rick McGregor from The Clipper, Chandra Shultz, Physiotherapist, Perry Carriere from Rehabilitation Centre for Children and myself, Mia Dunn from Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation. It was heartwarming to see the shy boy, Raenon, who was snuggling close to his Auntie, eagerly climb onto his new bike and attempt to get it moving. It was a sunny day made all the brighter with Raenon’s big smile!
Now that Raenon has his bike, he will be able to participate in many biking adventures with his family, friends, peers and community members. This bike will grow with him over the years as he improves his physical and social wellbeing.
Below is a grateful message of thanks from Mary Ann Bruneau:
I would like to say a huge thank you to the Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation and the Lac Du Bonnet Foundation for this very generous gift. It means the world to Raenon and our family. We cannot thank you enough for the opportunities this will open up for Raenon to get out and be more active with his family and friends. This bike will definitely give him a huge sense of independence and inclusion with his friends and peers. Raenon is so grateful and excited for his new bike, he can’t wait to get out riding with his friends and family.
Thank you again for your kindness and generosity. – Mary Ann Bruneau
Your support is truly helping Raenon realize his abilities and independence. Thank you again for your investment and partnership.
Sincerely,
Mia
